H. Hirch didn't live up to the promise surrounding it. I guess the fact that it is so rare is what makes it so special; I expected excellent-flavor-hype but I guess it was just marketing-hype. I think the worst aspect of the flavor profile was the walnut. I really dislike the slightly bitter finish they leave. I'd take a bourbon with a soft, plain-vanilla finish any day over the Hirch.
