Ainsley had to have supplements for two days because she lost so much weight, and it was obviously much harder for her to digest. With all our advances in medicine, why can't we do better at formula? As a mom who nursed one of my kids (for medical reasons I couldn't with both), I can state, even 11 1/2 years later, that I remember how much that HURT at the beginning. Or maybe my daughter is just part vampire; I'm not sure. :) But within a week it was fine, and two months later when I was NOT paying $7 a can for baby formula (who knows what it's up to now?) it was definitely worth surviving that first week.
