Forty Years

Last weekend, my parents celebrated their fortieth anniversary.  My siblings and I spent a couple of weeks planning the party, including roast (of course). My parents had a whirlwind courtship, to say the least.  And life hasn't always been easy for them.  But they have stuck together through everything.  Growing up, they showed their kids how much they loved us but always put each other first. The part that a better writer could express is that when my parents were married and had their kids, the five of us became a really strong group.   We've stuck together through lots of silly quabbles and serious hardships. None of this would have been possible if my parents had not given us the gift of stability.  Forty years of loving each other and doing the best they could for us. Thanks Mom and Dad!
