For me, it was moving to a place that took me away from a relationship that was doing me more harm than good. I had job offers in five cities and I picked the one that was farthest away but still looked like fun (one offer was in Iowa- in a town of 15,000- not fun). I think it’s defined by the desire to start over, and to select a different city for the freshness of it.

#100: What exactly is picking up and moving to start over? I mean, do you have to decide where to go and then find a way to do it, or do you just look for a job and wherever it is you go there, or some other definition? Or is “finding a job” just too prescribed and you have to literally pack the car, stop when you run out of gas, and figure that’s the new place?

To sum up, I feel like Seymour was kind of like this, but then again I’m so risk-averse I’m not sure I’d ever qualify for #100. : )

I’ve never even been to LA and I recognized the freeways at once…even at night. The aerial photography is accompanied by a sweeping dramatic theme. Without change of meter or perspective, the “aerial” shot becomes neat rows of lipsticks, eyeshadows, and various other makeup. Beautiful photography, sweeping music, symbolism before a single word is uttered: I’m hooked. Finally, the scene settles on the Shopgirl. I was quickly wrapped in a life I recognized as similar to my life ten years ago (see #100). Not completely devoid, but not great either: moving someplace new didn’t solve anything. [...]

This is a good score, but when I counted mine, I scored 87!

As for Oz’s question…that will take some thought. How about marrying the Pope? — Oh, oh, that is not on the list. Also not on the list is visting all the main London airports in a single month. I will do that next month, if everything goes to plan. I think suggesting some more options should be the next exercise. Really though, I would like to get 68. Oh well. C’est la vie.

Wow, looks like you’ve had a rich life. This blogame seems to be popular, and I’ve seen some new blogs from following recent spate of these games.
